1. General Policy Statement

theSHOWBASE respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users and contributors to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar international laws by responding promptly to valid notices of alleged infringement.

If you believe that material hosted on theSHOWBASE infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please follow the procedure outlined below.

2. Submitting a Takedown Request

To submit a copyright or trademark complaint, please send a written notice containing all of the following information:

  1. Identification of the work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the material you believe is infringing, including a direct URL or sufficient information to locate it on our site.
  3. Your contact information, including your full name, company (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that, under penalty of perjury, you are the owner (or authorized to act on behalf of the owner) of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.

3. Review and Action

Upon receiving a complete and valid notice, theSHOWBASE will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your claim.
  • Review the material in question.
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content when appropriate.
  • Notify the party responsible for the content (if applicable) of the action taken and the basis for the complaint.

We reserve the right to request additional information if your notice is incomplete or unclear.

4. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Identification of the removed or disabled content and its original location.
  2. Your name, address, and telephone number.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in your region and acceptance of service of process from the complainant.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material at our discretion, unless the rights holder initiates a legal action seeking a court order.

5. Repeat or Egregious Infringement

Users or contributors who repeatedly submit or host infringing material may have their access restricted or permanently terminated at our discretion.
