MLB The Show 26 Roster Update Investments

Beta

Experimental MLB The Show 26 roster update board ranked by upgrade probability, with market activity, entry context, quick-sell downside, and caution signals layered in.

Predictions on this page are experimental. They are model-driven estimates, not guarantees, and no upgrade is ever guaranteed in a roster update.

How to read this board

Upgrade Chance is the main ranking signal. The board blends model snapshots from 1d, 3d, and 7d horizons to surface the strongest roster update candidates first.

Predicted Upgrade represents the model's expected upside tier. Use it to separate smaller upgrade candidates from bigger movers, while treating exact jump size as directional rather than absolute.

Market & Entry combines current buy/sell spread, recent activity, and the suggested entry price. Risk & Reward compares that entry against the quick-sell floor and the modeled post-upgrade quick-sell value.

Caution tags such as Priced Out, Already Running, and Thin Market are warnings that the price or liquidity may already be working against the thesis.

Model context

This page is powered by a machine learning model trained on historical roster updates, full eligible-player update sets, and windowed MLB performance data leading into each update.

The current production system scores three pre-update snapshots: 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days before the expected roster update. Historical testing shows the sharpest signal in the final 1-3 days, while still keeping the board useful earlier in the cycle.

Practical probability guidance from the backtests: below 20% is low-conviction, 20-35% is speculative, 35-40% is fringe live territory, above 40% is a real candidate, and above 60% is strong.

Use this as a decision-support tool alongside price discipline and market timing. The edge here is combining upgrade signal with quick-sell math, current market conditions, and caution context in one place.
