Five new 3rd Drop Missions are live in the MLB The Show 26 6th Inning XP Path. The full group pays 32,000 XP, with 17,000 available across broadly eligible Diamond Dynasty modes and another 15,000 tied to Ranked and Events.
Quick answer: Score 15 runs, advance the 500-count Field of Dreams Series mission, and strike out 25 batters for 17,000 XP. The last 15,000 XP comes from 10 extra-base hits in Ranked and three home runs in Events.
What are the 6th Inning Drop 3 missions?
The 6th Inning XP Path now lists five tasks under 3rd Drop Missions:
| Mission | Eligible modes | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Score 15 runs on any difficulty | Ranked, Co-op, BR, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, Diamond Quest | 4,000 |
| Advance the 0/500 counter with Field of Dreams Series players | Ranked, Co-op, BR, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, Diamond Quest | 5,500 |
| Get 10 extra-base hits | Weekend Classic and Solo or Co-op Ranked | 7,500 |
| Hit three home runs | Events | 7,500 |
| Strike out 25 batters on any difficulty | Ranked, Co-op, BR, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, Diamond Quest | 7,500 |
| Total | 32,000 |
The stored source calls the Field of Dreams task “Tally 500” and shows a 0/500 counter, but it does not expose the unit. Check the in-game counter before treating that requirement as PXP or another specific stat.
How much XP can you earn without Ranked or Events?
The 15-run, Field of Dreams Series, and 25-strikeout missions share the same broad mode list. Together they pay 17,000 XP and can move during Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, or Diamond Quest.
Build around Field of Dreams Series cards while working on runs and strikeouts. That gives the 0/500 counter a chance to move alongside the two exact stat missions, without making an unsupported claim about how quickly any of them will finish.
The remaining 15,000 XP is mode-specific. Ten extra-base hits must come in Weekend Classic or Solo or Co-op Ranked, while the three-home-run task only counts in Events.
What does 32,000 XP unlock?
A player starting the 6th Inning path from zero would clear the 22,500-XP reward, 99 OVR Pipeline Max Clark. The five missions stop at 32,000 XP, which is 500 short of the next The Show Pack at 32,500.

What should you do first?
Start with the three broadly eligible missions and put Field of Dreams Series cards in the same squad. Score runs and collect strikeouts while watching the 0/500 counter on the program screen.
Move to Ranked for the 10 extra-base hits and Events for the three home runs only if you want all 32,000 XP. There is no need to force those online tasks to collect the 17,000-XP broad-mode block.
