August Spotlight Drop 3 is live in Diamond Dynasty with 99 OVR Nick Sogard at 50 program points. The reward path also includes 97 OVR Matt Wilkinson, 97 OVR Alec Bohm, 5,000 XP and an August Spotlight Week 3 Pack.
Quick answer: Finish the seven standard moments for 28 points, earn 5,000 PXP with any players for 15, then complete either the 20-home-run or 20-strikeout mission for 10. That adds up to 53 points and gets you past Sogard without locking in cards.
The official program has an optional 30-point Extreme moment and optional card collections, but neither is needed for the 50-point reward.

The straightforward route uses all seven regular moments, the 5,000-PXP mission and one of the two 10-point stat missions. Each of those missions counts in Ranked, Ranked Co-op, Battle Royale, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest and Diamond Quest.

Which tasks can you skip?
You can leave the 30-point Extreme moment untouched. The two card-collection tasks are optional as well: one asks for two Spotlight pack players and the other asks for three Topps Now pack players. Those collection descriptions warn that a collected item becomes No Sell.
The program also lists August Lightning and Retro Lightning collection tasks tied to rewards coming Sept. 4. Those are separate from the 50-point Sogard path.
What should you do first?
Start with the seven standard moments, then let the 5,000-PXP mission run alongside the mode you already want to play. Choose the home-run or strikeout mission that fits your usual games to clear the last 10 points.
That route gets you to 53. Save the Extreme moment and card lock-ins for a different reason, not because Sogard requires them.
