Double XP Weekend is live in MLB The Show 26 through October 19. If you are still working toward the 8th Inning bosses, the current target is 275,000 XP for a choice between 99 OVR Ken Griffey Jr. and 99 OVR Roy Campanella.
Quick answer: Play during the Double XP window through Monday, October 19, and check your 8th Inning progress against the 275,000-XP boss checkpoint. The 9th Inning XP Path is scheduled for October 23.
When does Double XP Weekend end?
San Diego Studio's October 16 announcement says Double XP runs through October 19. It does not give a cutoff hour, so do not plan around an assumed midnight or content-reset time.
The official schedule lists the 9th Inning XP Path for Friday, October 23. That makes this weekend a chance to work on your remaining 8th Inning milestones before next week's new path arrives.
Which 8th Inning rewards should you target?
Three checkpoints put the player rewards and boss choice in order:
| XP reached | Reward |
|---|---|
| 47,500 | 99 OVR Mule Suttles |
| 160,000 | 99 OVR Jake Arrieta |
| 275,000 | Boss choice: 99 OVR Ken Griffey Jr. or 99 OVR Roy Campanella |
The boss pack gives you one selection. Griffey is a Finest center fielder; Campanella is a Hall of Fame catcher. Compare the two cards against your lineup before choosing.
The reward path below also shows the packs and Stubs between those checkpoints.

8th Inning Boss Choice Pack
How much XP do you still need?
Subtract your current path total from your next target. At 200,000 XP, for example, the boss pack is another 75,000 XP away: 275,000 minus 200,000.
Use the nearest checkpoint to plan your sessions. If you are below 160,000 XP, Arrieta comes before the bosses. If you have passed that mark, your next player-reward target is the choice pack at 275,000.
Open the path's mission list before picking a mode. Each mission has its own requirements and eligible modes, so choose outstanding objectives that fit the games you already intend to play. The 8th Inning reward guide covers the bosses and early milestones in more detail.
