Earn 99 Richie Palacios and José Ramírez on the ALCS program path. Four missions reach 50 points without moments or the collection.

The Guardians vs. Rays Program is live in MLB The Show 26, with five free 99 overall cards on a 50-point reward path. José Ramírez unlocks at 40 points, followed by Richie Palacios at 50. You can finish through missions without completing a moment or locking cards into the Postseason collection.

Quick answer: Earn 2,026 Parallel XP with Guardians or Rays cards from the 2026 Postseason Series, tally nine strikeouts with Guardians pitchers, and pitch four innings with Rays pitchers. The four missions award exactly 50 points because the team PXP and Postseason Series PXP objectives are separate rewards.

San Diego Studio announced the ALCS program on October 20. Open the Guardians vs. Rays Program to follow your progress and claim each card.

Which cards do you earn?

Every player reward is a 99 OVR 2026 Postseason Series card. The path adds one at each ten-point checkpoint, so you keep the earlier cards as you work toward Palacios.

Points Card Position Team
10 Petey Halpin CF Guardians
20 Gavin Williams SP Guardians
30 Cam Booser RP Rays
40 José Ramírez 3B Guardians
50 Richie Palacios 2B Rays

The first four checkpoints each include 1,000 XP. Palacios comes with 2,026 XP, bringing the full path to 6,026 XP alongside the five cards. Those XP rewards are separate from the program points needed to unlock them.

How to reach 50 points without moments

All four missions below count in Ranked, Ranked Co-op, Battle Royale, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest and Diamond Quest. An offline route is available through those last four modes.

Mission Program points
Tally nine strikeouts with Guardians players 10
Pitch four innings with Rays players 10
Earn 2,026 PXP with Guardians and/or Rays players 10
Earn 2,026 PXP with 2026 Postseason Series players 20
Total 50

Use Guardians and Rays cards from the 2026 Postseason Series to overlap the two Parallel XP (PXP) missions. Those cards meet both the team requirement and the series requirement, so their PXP can progress both objectives. You still need to finish the nine strikeouts and four innings to claim all 50 points.

Older Guardians and Rays cards can contribute to the team missions, but a Live Series or Spotlight card does not meet the 2026 Postseason Series requirement. Check the version before filling your lineup. If you already earned cards from the Division Series programs, those Postseason versions give you a starting group for the overlap.

The missions alone total 10 + 10 + 10 + 20 = 50. The one-point collection task is optional, and this route needs no exchange or repeatable mission.

What if you need Postseason cards first?

The program has ten moments worth three points each, for 30 points in total. Complete four to reach 12 points and unlock Halpin. Complete seven to reach 21 and unlock Williams, giving you a Guardians starter for the strikeout mission as well as another Postseason card for PXP.

Finish every moment for 30 points, then add the 20-point Postseason Series PXP mission to clear the 50-point path. Using Guardians or Rays Postseason cards can also complete the separate team PXP mission for ten more points. That route skips the nine-strikeout and four-inning requirements, as well as the collection task.

You can mix moments and missions as you prefer. The useful distinction is that moments provide cards before you start the squad grind, while the four-mission route reaches the final reward on its own.

What does Palacios add to your lineup?

Palacios bats left-handed with 125 contact against righties and 120 against lefties. His power is 100 against right-handed pitching and 85 against left-handed pitching.

His primary position is second base, with third base and all three outfield spots available as secondaries. The card has 70 speed and 76 fielding ability, so check those ratings alongside the contact numbers when deciding where to use him.

Is Freddy Peralta on this reward path?

The 99 OVR ALCS MVP Freddy Peralta is a separate reward in the 2026 Postseason collection, at the 38-card checkpoint. SDS confirmed his collection arrival on October 20.

Reaching 50 program points gets Palacios. It does not automatically unlock Peralta. If the five program cards are your immediate target, finish the moments and missions you need, claim the path rewards, and treat the collection as a separate lock-in decision.
