MLB The Show 26 Postseason Event: Get 99 Ivan Rodriguez at 50 Points

The 2026 Postseason Event Program gives you 99 OVR Awards Ivan Rodriguez at 50 program points, with 99 OVR Awards Andy Pettitte at 25. Five stat missions reach Rodriguez without completing the five-win mission or either Parallel XP mission.

The event ends Friday, October 23 at noon Pacific, 3 p.m. Eastern and 9 p.m. Copenhagen time. All eight missions count only in the 2026 Postseason Event.

Quick answer: Tally 10 hits, pitch 12 innings, strike out 15 batters, score 20 runs and total 50 bases in the event. Those five missions award 5 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 15 = 50 points, enough for both player rewards.

San Diego Studio released the event on October 9 as part of its Postseason content update. This is the event's mission-based program path. Your mission points determine the card unlocks.

Which cards do you unlock?

Andy Pettitte is the first player reward at 25 points. This 99 OVR Awards card is a Yankees starting pitcher. Ivan Rodriguez follows at 50 points as a 99 OVR Awards catcher for the Marlins.

The path continues beyond Rodriguez. At 75 points you get another Events Rewind pack, and at 100 you get a Premier Choice Pack. The first Events Rewind pack and 10,000 account XP arrive at 10 points. Account XP is separate from the program points used to unlock rewards.

All eight Event missions

Each mission awards points once. Hits, innings, strikeouts, runs, total bases and wins must be earned in this specific event. The two Parallel XP (PXP) missions have different card conditions: one asks for 2026 Postseason Series players, while the other accepts any players you use in the event.

The five-win mission is worth 15 points, but it is not a mandatory gate for either card. If wins are slow to arrive, the stat missions still provide an exact route to the 50-point reward.

The 50-point route without the win mission

Start with the five stat targets in the quick answer: 10 hits, 12 innings, 15 strikeouts, 20 runs and 50 total bases. The hitting targets award 30 points together, and the two pitching targets add 20. Their combined 50 points unlock Pettitte along the way and Rodriguez when the full block is complete.

This route also leaves both PXP missions untouched. You do not have to earn 5,000 PXP with 2026 Postseason cards or 15,000 PXP with any players to reach Rodriguez through these five missions.

Your progress may arrive in a different order. Track each completed mission and watch your total rather than treating the list as five consecutive steps. The requirements can be worked on during the same event games; there is no fixed game-count or completion-time estimate.

If you finish the two PXP missions as well, they add 35 points to that 50-point stat block. The five-win mission supplies the remaining 15 for the full 100-point path and Premier Choice Pack.

Which cards can enter the event?

The official announcement lists players from 2026 Postseason teams, Postseason Series, The Show Classics Series and Awards Series, plus Live Series Bronze and Common cards. Use the event's lineup screen to check your squad before entering.

The mission for 5,000 PXP specifically names the 2026 Postseason Series. An older Postseason card or an Awards card can fit the event's announced lineup categories without meeting that narrower mission condition. Pettitte and Rodriguez are Awards cards, so they do not satisfy the 2026 Postseason Series condition.

For Rodriguez, keep working toward the five stat targets until you reach 50 points. Continue toward 100 only if you want the later packs, and finish your event progress before October 23 at noon Pacific.
