Earn nine 99 OVR Postseason cards across three Wild Card programs. Each 25-point path uses five moments and four offline-eligible missions.

Three Wild Card matchup programs give you nine 99 overall 2026 Postseason cards in MLB The Show 26. Ben Rice, Chase Meidroth and Gavin Sheets are the final rewards, each at 25 points in a separate program. You can complete every path with moments and missions in eligible offline modes.

Quick answer: For each program, finish five moments for 10 points, two team-stat missions for six, the 2,026 team Parallel XP mission for four, and the 2,026 Postseason Parallel XP mission for five. That is exactly 25 points, with no exchange or collection required.

These are the current Red Sox vs. Yankees, White Sox vs. Astros and Cubs vs. Padres programs. They are separate from the Retro Wild Card Program, which rewards Giancarlo Stanton and uses a different 50-point path.

Red Sox vs. Yankees: how to get 99 Ben Rice

The Red Sox vs. Yankees Program starts with Willson Contreras at five points and adds Austin Wells at 15. Ben Rice closes the path at 25.

Card OVR Position Points
Willson Contreras 99 1B 5
Austin Wells 99 C 15
Ben Rice 99 1B 25

All five moments are worth two points each. Complete Wishing Wells, Rice on a Roll, Kam Schlittler, Luis Goes Long and If there's a Willson, there's a way for 10 points. That unlocks Contreras before you need to finish the missions.

Mission Points
Record nine strikeouts with Red Sox players 3
Pitch six innings with Yankees players 3
Earn 2,026 PXP with Red Sox and/or Yankees players 4
Earn 2,026 PXP with 2026 Postseason Series players 5
Mission total 15

Use a Red Sox pitcher for the strikeouts and a Yankees pitcher for the innings. Add Contreras and Wells as you unlock them: both are 2026 Postseason cards from an eligible team for the two PXP missions. You still need the separate pitching requirements.

The reward path also includes a Postseason 26 Banner at 10 points and a Deluxe Choice Pack at 20. Check the checkpoints here:

White Sox vs. Astros: how to get 99 Chase Meidroth

The White Sox vs. Astros Program rewards Cam Smith at five points, Jeremy Peña at 15 and Chase Meidroth at 25. Its team-stat missions focus on hitting.

Card OVR Position Points
Cam Smith 99 RF 5
Jeremy Peña 99 SS 15
Chase Meidroth 99 2B 25

Complete its five two-point moments for 10 points. The remaining 15 come from these four missions:

Mission Points
Get 19 hits with White Sox players 3
Hit four home runs with Astros players 3
Earn 2,026 PXP with White Sox and/or Astros players 4
Earn 2,026 PXP with 2026 Postseason Series players 5
Mission total 15

Build a lineup with White Sox hitters for the hits and Astros hitters for the home runs. Smith and Peña can contribute to the Astros requirement while also fitting the team and series PXP rules. You do not need Meidroth to finish the program that earns him.

This path has three Ballin' is a Habit Packs at 10 points and a Deluxe Choice Pack at 20, alongside the player cards:

Cubs vs. Padres: how to get 99 Gavin Sheets

The Cubs vs. Padres Program puts Joe Musgrove at five points, Nico Hoerner at 15 and Gavin Sheets at 25. It combines Cubs hitting with Padres pitching.

Card OVR Position Points
Joe Musgrove 99 RP 5
Nico Hoerner 99 2B 15
Gavin Sheets 99 1B 25

Its five moments provide 10 points. Finish the four missions below for the other 15:

Mission Points
Get six hits with Cubs players 3
Record 12 strikeouts with Padres players 3
Earn 2,026 PXP with Cubs and/or Padres players 4
Earn 2,026 PXP with 2026 Postseason Series players 5
Mission total 15

Musgrove is a Padres pitcher, so he fits the strikeout mission as well as the team and series PXP missions. Hoerner fits the Cubs hits requirement. Keep those two in the relevant lineup and bullpen slots after claiming them.

Like the White Sox vs. Astros path, this program includes three Ballin' is a Habit Packs at 10 points and a Deluxe Choice Pack at 20:

Which modes count for the missions?

All four missions in each program list the same eligible modes: 1 vs. 1 Ranked, Ranked Co-op, Battle Royale, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest and Diamond Quest. An offline route is available through the last four modes. Play vs Friend and Casual are absent from the listed eligibility.

Parallel XP, or PXP, is the card progression used by the team and series missions. A 2026 Postseason card from the relevant matchup fits both descriptions, so use the early rewards instead of filling every slot with older team cards. Older versions can help with the team-stat missions, but sharing a player's name does not make an older card part of the 2026 Postseason Series.

Start with the moments for the program you want to finish first. Claim the five-point card, use it alongside the required team hitters or pitchers, then claim the 15-point card and continue toward 25. Every listed task is a one-time task, and the full task list totals exactly the final reward threshold. None of these routes needs a market purchase, online win or card lock-in.
