MLB The Show 26 is on sale in the U.S. Xbox Store for $17.49 for Standard Edition and $24.99 for Digital Deluxe Edition. Both listings show roughly 75% off their regular prices, with the same base game for Xbox Series X|S.
Quick answer: Standard is the lower-cost full-game purchase. Digital Deluxe costs $7.50 more at these prices and lists 20,000 Stubs, 20 The Show Packs and additional choice packs among its contents.
How much does each Xbox edition cost?
The U.S. Standard Edition listing and Digital Deluxe listing showed these prices when checked on October 4 at 21:09 UTC:
| Edition | Regular price | Sale price | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 | $17.49 | $52.50 |
| Digital Deluxe | $99.99 | $24.99 | $75.00 |
The difference between the two full-game sale prices is $24.99 minus $17.49 = $7.50. That comparison applies to buying either edition. It does not establish an upgrade price for someone who already owns Standard.
These are U.S. dollar prices. Check your regional listing and the price shown at checkout before buying. Xbox displays a remaining-sale countdown, so use the current store page for the deadline.
What does Digital Deluxe include?
Standard lists the base game and five The Show Packs. Digital Deluxe lists the base game plus the following content:
| Digital Deluxe content | Quantity |
|---|---|
| The Show Packs | 20 |
| World Baseball Classic Choice Packs | 2 |
| Legend Choice Pack | 1 |
| World Baseball Classic Uniform Pack | 1 |
| Equipment Pack | 1 |
| Cover Athlete Bat Skin Pack | 1 |
| Stubs | 20,000 |
| Daily rewards | Double |
Use those listed extras to decide whether you want Deluxe. The pack quantities alone do not tell you which player cards you will receive or what those cards will be worth.
Which purchase fits your plans?
If your priority is access to the base game, Standard has the lower price. If you want the listed Diamond Dynasty packs, currency and cosmetics, compare those extras with the $7.50 difference before choosing Deluxe.
Online console multiplayer requires Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate, sold separately. Budget for that separately if you plan to play online.
For a progression target after starting Diamond Dynasty, the Retro Division Series Program has four 99 OVR rewards and a 50-point path. That program is separate from the edition bonus contents.
