San Diego Studio says it is seeing XP count behind the scenes while investigating reports that progress appears to stop. In an October 7 reply on the official forum, SDS_JoeK_PSN said the team suspects a visual bug and will continue monitoring the issue.
Quick answer: SDS's latest finding is that XP is counting behind the scenes. The reply does not announce a fix or confirm how disputed bonus-wheel progress will be handled.
What did SDS say about missing XP?
The staff reply on the official MLB The Show forum connects that finding with reports of improvement around 300,000 XP. It describes a suspected display problem, rather than announcing a completed repair.
That distinction matters if your XP total and bonus-wheel progress appear inconsistent. The reply does not establish that every affected account has recovered, that 300,000 XP is a guaranteed fix, or that replacement rewards are being distributed. It also gives no repair date or player instructions.
Where is the 8th Inning boss reward?
The current 8th Inning XP Path puts the Boss Choice Pack at 275,000 XP. The official 8th Inning announcement names 99 OVR Finest Ken Griffey Jr. and Hall of Fame Roy Campanella as the bosses.
| XP figure | What it means |
|---|---|
| 275,000 | Boss Choice Pack reward milestone |
| 300,000 | Progress figure mentioned in SDS's investigation reply |
| 25,000 | Difference between those figures, not a confirmed amount of lost XP |
Reaching the boss pack and seeing bonus-wheel progress are separate things to check. Subtracting the two figures does not prove that you are owed a wheel spin or that any rewards have disappeared.
The reward path below shows the listed milestones, including the boss pack. It does not show whether your account's bonus-wheel progress has been credited.

What should you check now?
Compare your total XP, the 275,000-XP boss milestone and the bonus-wheel display separately. If you report the issue, include which counter appears stuck and the total shown on your XP Path screen. That keeps a report about wheel progress distinct from a report about total XP.
For further guidance, follow the linked official thread. SDS's current position is a suspected visual bug under continued monitoring, with no confirmed resolution or compensation announcement in that reply.
