MLB The Show 26 Game Update 19 lists player likeness changes for 59 players, including Manny Machado, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Byron Buxton and Austin Wells. San Diego Studio scheduled the patch for October 1 at 4 a.m. Pacific, and says some of those likeness updates take effect after the October 2 roster update.
Quick answer: Check your platform's patch version below. If a listed player's likeness has not changed yet, some changes require the October 2 roster update as well.
When was Game Update 19 scheduled?
The official Game Update 19 notes give an October 1 deployment time of 4 a.m. PT. That is 7 a.m. ET, 11:00 UTC and 13:00 in Copenhagen.
SDS lists these platform versions:
| Platform | Game Update 19 version |
|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | 1.0019 |
| Xbox Series X/S | 1.0.93 |
| Nintendo Switch | 1.019 |
The version number is the reference to use when checking whether your console has the patch. A matching version does not mean every listed likeness change is visible immediately, because SDS has attached a separate roster-update requirement to some players.
Which players get likeness updates?
The patch names the following 59 players. SDS does not identify which individual players need the October 2 roster update, so there is no confirmed way to separate the immediate changes from the later ones on this list.

Does this patch change player ratings?
The published Game Update 19 notes cover player likeness updates. They do not list overall-rating adjustments, attribute changes or gameplay fixes.
The official MLB The Show schedule separately lists the final regular-season roster update for October 2. Treat that as its own release when checking ratings. A player's name appearing in these patch notes does not confirm an upgrade or downgrade.
What should you check first?
Confirm the installed game version against your console's entry in the table. For a player on the likeness list, keep the October 2 roster update in mind before expecting every appearance change to be present.
If you are looking for Live Series rating changes, the September 25 roster update covers the previous recorded release. Game Update 19's likeness list should not be used as a ratings preview.
