The 9th Inning Boss Collection requires both 99 OVR Milestone Ted Williams and 99 OVR Signature Chipper Jones. Its reward is a 10th Inning XP Path Voucher worth 30,000 XP in the next inning, not an immediate 30,000-XP boost to the current 9th Inning path.
The current boss choice pack gives you one of those players. Completing the collection therefore means obtaining the other exact boss card as well, then collecting both.
Quick answer: Collect Milestone Ted Williams and Signature Chipper Jones in the 9th Inning Boss Collection. Both are required for the 10th Inning voucher. An older version of either player does not fill the requirement.
Which two cards do you need?
The 9th Inning Boss Collection accepts exactly two cards and requires two. There are no optional skips or cheaper substitute versions on its eligible list.
| Required card | OVR | Primary position | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ted Williams, Milestone | 99 | LF | Red Sox |
| Chipper Jones, Signature | 99 | 3B | Braves |
Check the series name as well as the player name before buying. A Ted Williams card from another series is a separate item, and the same applies to Chipper. The collection asks for these two bosses rather than any two cards featuring those players.
San Diego Studio's October 23 content announcement identifies Williams and Jones as the 9th Inning bosses. Smokey Joe Williams and Willie Wells are other rewards on that XP path, but neither takes a place in this two-card collection.
Does the boss pack give you both?
The 9th Inning XP Path awards its Boss Choice Pack at 275,000 XP. You choose one of the two featured bosses from that pack. Reaching the checkpoint does not award both players together.
If you are still working toward that choice, check which boss you already own before opening it. Choosing the other required player would complete your pair; choosing another copy of the same player would still leave one collection slot missing.
Both exact cards also have Community Market listings. That gives you a way to acquire a missing boss without treating a different version as a substitute. It does not make a market purchase mandatory for progressing through the current XP path.
What will you still need to acquire?
Your remaining requirement depends on the two eligible cards already in your inventory:
| Eligible bosses you own | Missing collection cards | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Both Williams and Jones | 0 | Decide whether to collect both for the voucher |
| Williams only | 1 | Find Signature Chipper Jones |
| Jones only | 1 | Find Milestone Ted Williams |
| Neither | 2 | Account for your unclaimed boss choice before pricing purchases |
Use the live panel for the voucher and current collection prices, or open the collection page to inspect both eligible cards. Its totals are a non-personalized view, so owning one boss changes what you personally need to spend.

- Sell Now total
1,165,999- Buy Now total
1,329,000
Both totals use the same solver-selected completion route. Sell Now uses the highest active buy order for each selected card. Buy Now uses the lowest active sell listing for those same cards.
Prices refresh about every 3 minutes.
Buy Now is the price for acquiring a listed card immediately. Sell Now shows the other side of the market and is not an instant purchase quote. Compare the missing card's Buy Now listing with your available Stubs instead of assuming the collection total is your remaining bill.
Collecting a card makes it No Sell. Owning both bosses and choosing to lock both into a collection are separate decisions. Consider whether you want to keep the cards before giving up the option to sell them for Stubs.
Which inning receives the 30,000 XP?
The collection's reward is specifically named 10th Inning XP Path Voucher. Its description assigns the 30,000 XP to the 10th Inning. This is a voucher to use with that reward path, not a new boss card or a second choice from the current pack.
The similarly named previous collection works in the other direction: collecting the two 8th Inning bosses supplies the voucher for the 9th Inning. Keep those names separate when checking your inventory. The current 9th Inning guide explains that earlier voucher and the missions available for current progress.
The 10th Inning launch date, boss choices and redemption checkpoint are not established by this collection alone. Start with the cards you already own, account for any unclaimed 275,000-XP choice, and check the missing exact boss before committing Stubs or collecting either card.
