Find the three Spooky Chase Pack routes, understand the Diamond guarantee and see what the 99 Randy Johnson variant collection requires.

99 OVR Spooky Randy Johnson is the featured player in the Spooky Chase Pack, released October 30. You can find the pack through the 9th Inning XP Reward Path Wheel, with a purchased The Show 50-Pack Bundle, or by chance inside individual The Show Packs.

The pack guarantees a Diamond player, not Randy Johnson. His Spooky variant is a separate collection reward that needs the base card and its matching voucher.

Where do you get the Spooky Chase Pack?

San Diego Studio's October 30 content announcement lists three sources:

Pack source What you receive
9th Inning XP Reward Path Wheel A route to earn a Spooky Chase Pack through the wheel
The Show 50-Pack Bundle One Spooky Chase Pack with each bundle purchase
Individual The Show Packs A chance to find a Spooky Chase Pack inside

A bundle gives you the Chase pack. It does not give you the featured Randy card outright. The same distinction applies when you earn or find the pack elsewhere: opening it guarantees one Diamond player, with a chance at Johnson.

If you are already working through the 9th Inning XP Path, the wheel is the progression route to check. The announcement does not promise a Chase pack on every spin, so treat it as a possible wheel reward rather than a fixed checkpoint.

Which Randy Johnson is in Chase 32?

The pack features the base 99 Spooky Randy Johnson, a left-handed starting pitcher for Seattle. The Chase 32 pack page links that exact version. Randy is the featured player; other Diamond players can also be awarded.

Johnson has 118 H/9, 117 K/9 and 117 pitching clutch, with 115 stamina. His headline pitching ratings are 99 velocity, 95 control and 99 break. Those are card attributes; they do not establish how his delivery or pitches perform in a game.

How do you get the Spooky Randy Johnson variant?

The Variant Randy Johnson collection requires two specific items:

Required item Which version to use
Spooky Randy Johnson The base Chase card linked above
Variant Spooky Randy Johnson Voucher The voucher matching Randy Johnson

The variant card has its own player page. It is the collection reward, not a substitute for the base card on the ingredient list.

SDS says Spooky Variant Vouchers are earned in Exchanges. Obtain the matching Randy voucher, then collect it with the base Spooky card in his variant collection. A voucher for another Spooky player does not satisfy Randy's named requirement.

The Spooky Program guide covers the separate five-card program path, ending with Jorge Polanco at 100 points. Finishing that path is not listed as a direct Randy Johnson reward.

What should you check before opening packs?

Decide whether you want the base Randy card or the variant artwork first. The base card comes from the Chase pack or its market listing; the variant collection adds the matching voucher requirement.

If you already have a Spooky Chase Pack from the wheel or a bundle, remember that its Diamond guarantee does not identify which player you will pull. If you want the variant, verify both collection ingredients before committing cards or spending on an Exchange.
